Yes only a month or so after the release of his sophomore album “Sam Baker’s Album", we’ve got him here direct from LA LIVE…

For the uninformed, Samiyam is an instrumental hip hop producer that has made huge waves worldwide with his unique sound. He has been pivotal in popularizing the particular soundscape also famously dominated by the likes of Clams Casino, Gas Lamp Killer, Nosaj Thing and Flying Lotus (who Sam also produces with, as FLYamSAM).

His last visit here saw him play live off MPC's/Samplers to a full capacity show at Cassette, wowing everyone in attendance. His energetic set consisted of old school hip hop, heavier dubby beats, glitchy synth heavy rhythms and funk/soul/RnB elements. He also brought with him a whole swag of unreleased collabs/remixes/mash ups featuring the likes of Fly Lo, DJ Premier, Big Noyd, Blu, Jay-Z, Alchemist, Radiohead, Exile, Lil Wayne, Shlohmo and more.

NDA is very difficult to pigeon hole, if you ask him what his style is he would probably tell you, "It's upfront big room house, remixed anthems, electro, some beepy stuff with a bunch of live acapellas, loops, mash ups, live remixes and the odd kitchen sink."
You could also say he plays "big room, main floor destroying, roof raising, upfront, WTF was that track? house music"

NDA's tough, banging sound , A.D.D. energy and unique style is what he’s all about. His rock hard reputation, fresh sets and crazy good times skills (using his mixer and CDJS like a drum kit) have seen him blow up in 09 and gain respect from his DJ peers and fans alike. NDA is one of the best technically skilled DJs in NZ by far and regularly mentors up and coming DJs only too happy to give his time, he’s like mother Theresa!

Quality music, quality drinks and an awesome bunch of people makes Zen the best place to be on a Wednesday.

Since selling out Be seven months ago Bass Kleph has been crowned with having the highest selling dance song of 2010 with his remix of Shakedown. Out of like, the entire world.
